Call to Worship:
The days are surely coming, says the Lord,
when I will make a new covenant with you.
The Lord has written the law on our hearts in Christ Jesus.
We will follow in faith and love.

fix in us thy humble dwelling; all thy faithful mercies crown.
Jesus, thou art all compassion; pure, unbounded love thou art;

Prayer of the Day:
Almighty God, our Redeemer,
you call us to be messengers of forgiveness and hope.
Renew us by your Holy Spirit,
and help us to see and feel the law of love written on our hearts.
Then may we follow your commands
and proclaim your reign of love;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever. Amen.
Call to Confession
Prayer of Confession:
God of mercy,
you sent Jesus Christ as the expression of your law of love.
We confess that we have strayed from you
and turned aside from your way.
We are misled by pride,
for we see ourselves pure when we are stained,
and great when we are small.
We have failed in love,
neglected justice,
and ignored your truth.
Have mercy, O God, and forgive our sin.
Return us to paths of righteousness
through Jesus Christ our Savior.
Assurance of Forgiveness

Praise ye the Lord! O let all that is in me adore him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before him!
Let the amen sound from his people again; gladly for aye we adore him.
Prayer for Illumination:
God of mercy,
you promised never to break your covenant with us.
As we hear these words,
write them on our hearts,
so that hearing, we may walk in faith. Amen.
Affirmation of Faith:
I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
he descended into hell;
the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost;
the holy catholic church;
the communion of saints;
the forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the body;
