The Lord's Supper

Holy Communion is celebrated in, with and under the bread and wine Jesus gives us his body and blood for the forgiveness of sins and to strengthen our union with Him and one another.

Our Lord invites to His table those who repent of all sins, trust in Christ the Savior, believe in the real presence of His body and blood in, with and under the bread and wine, and forgives others as He loves and forgives us.

Those who do not know or accept the teachings of the Lutheran Church are invited to speak with the Pastor about joining the next adult instruction class so that they may become one with us in doctrine and receive the Sacrament for their blessing.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Intercession is a prayer of petition for the interests and needs of others. Just as the Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to the will of God so we also intercede. (Romans 8:26-27) The commitment to pray for others is a sacred privilege and is an example of faith in action. 

We pray for those on our hearts today:

• Joan Roberts - Doing better but need continued prayers for her health and for God's peace and comfort.
• Prayers also for Paula Southerland's daughter, Samantha, for health problems.
• Paula and Roger Southerland's son Kristofer and daughter-in-law, Issabelle, are expecting their first child, a baby girl named Mavis, on or about October 25, 2025. With high BP issue with Issabelle, the baby may come soon. Please pray for the health, safety and life of all; that all medical staff are guided by God’s angels to know exactly what to do so that both baby and moms health and life are protected and nourished.
• T.C. McIntosh - a friend of Paula Southerland who is recuperating from shoulder surgery.
• Please pray for Holy Cross's financial situation.
• Pastor Robert's oldest sister, Sandra Fernehmyr, who has cancer and is refusing treatment or surgery. May God grant her peace and comfort.
