Hymn of PraiseGuide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah, (UMH #127)
Guide me, O thou great Jehovah,
 pilgrim through this barren land.
I am weak, but thou art mighty;
 hold me with thy powerful hand.
Bread of heaven, bread of heaven,
 feed me till I want no more;
 feed me till I want no more.

Open now the crystal fountain,
 whence the healing stream doth flow;
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
 lead me all my journey through.
Strong deliverer, strong deliverer,
 be thou still my strength and shield;
Be thou still my strength and shield.

When I tread the verge of Jordan,
 bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of death and hell’s destruction,
 land me safe on Canaan’s side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises,
 I will ever give to thee;
I will ever give to thee.

Prayer of Intercession

Prayer of Confession
Merciful God, we give thanks for the light of Christ who reveals your truth. Through Christ we are able to recognize there is no distinction: we have all sinned and fallen short of your glory. Yet we struggle, Lord, to extend kindness and mercy to all, especially those we do not agree with. Forgive us for our tendency to see others’ faults while overlooking our own sin. Strengthen us to not be swept up in worldly agendas. Cleanse and justify us, such that our agendas and priorities reflect the truth revealed in the resurrected and reigning Christ, for all to see. Amen.

Hymn – Spirit Song (UMH #347)
O let the Son of God enfold you
 with his Spirit and his love.
Let him fill your heart and satisfy your soul.

O let him have the things that hold you,
 and his Spirit like a dove
will descend upon your life
 and make you whole.

Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill your lambs.
Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill your lambs.

O come and sing this song with gladness
 as your hearts are filled with joy.
Lift your hands in sweet surrender to his name.
O give him all your tears and sadness;
 give him all your years of pain,
and you’ll enter into life in Jesus’ name.

Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill your lambs.
Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill your lambs.

Sermon More Powerful than the Moment: Truth Convicts and Redeems Us All
Pastor Brad Text: John 8:2-12

Hymn Trust and Obey, v 1,3,4 (UMH #467)
When we walk with the Lord
 in the light of his word,
What a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
 He abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey,
 for there’s no other way
 to be happy in Jesus,
 but to trust and obey.

But we never can prove
 the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor he shows,
 for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey,
 for there’s no other way
 to be happy in Jesus,
 but to trust and obey.

Then in fellowship sweet
 we will sit at his feet,
or we’ll walk by his side in the way;

What he says we will do,
 where he sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

Trust and obey,
 for there’s no other way
 to be happy in Jesus,
 but to trust and obey.

Benediction
