Hymn of Praise O For A Thousand Tongues To Sing, verses 1,2,3,5 (UMH #57)
O for a thousand tongues to sing
 my great Redeemer’s praise,
the glories of my God and King,
 the triumphs of his grace!

My gracious Master and my God,
 assist me to proclaim,
To spread through all the earth abroad
 the honors of thy name.

Jesus! the name that charms our fears,
 that bids our sorrows cease;
‘tis music in the sinner’s ears,
 ‘tis life, and health, and peace.

He speaks, and listening to his voice,
 new life the dead receive;
The mournful, broken hearts rejoice,
 the humble poor believe.

Prayer of Intercession

Prayer of Confession
Amazing God, Giver of life and breath and joy; you are the Source of all good things. Thank you for all your blessings that are generously extended to us. Lord, though we quickly recognize your good and right ways here in worship, we confess how often we fail to live out your ways in the world. Forgive us for our hypocrisy. Cleanse us of our jealousy and fear of others, and the resulting desires to conceal and cover up our mistakes. Renew us, O God, that our lives may be shining examples of your truth, proclaiming from the housetops the glory of the resurrected and reigning Christ. Amen.

HymnThis Is My Father’s World  (UMH #144)
This is my Father’s world,
 and to my listening ears
all nature sings, and round me rings
 the music of the spheres.
This is my Father’s world: I rest me in the thought
 of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
 his hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Father’s world,
 the birds their carols raise,
the morning light, the lily white,
 declare their maker’s praise.
This is my Father’s world:
 he shines in all that’s fair;
in the rustling grass I hear him pass;
 he speaks to me everywhere.

This is my Father’s world.
 O let me ne’er forget
that though the wrong seems oft so strong,
 God is the ruler yet.
This is my Father’s world:
 why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King; let the heavens ring!
 God reigns; let the earth be glad!

HymnLead On, O King Eternal (UMH #580)
Lead on, O King eternal,
 the day of march has come;
hence-forth in fields of conquest
 thy tents shall be our home.
Through days of preparation
 thy grace has made us strong;
and now, O King eternal,
we lift our battle song.

Lead on, O King eternal,
 till sin’s fierce war shall cease,
And holiness shall whisper
 the sweet amen of peace.
For not with swords loud clashing,
 nor roll of stirring drums;
with deeds of love and mercy
 the heavenly kingdom comes.

Lead on, O King eternal,
 we follow, not with fears,
for gladness breaks like morning
 wher-e’er thy face appears.
Thy cross is lifted o’er us,
 we journey in its light;
the crown awaits the conquest;
 lead on, O God of might.
Benediction
