As of Tuesday, November 12, we have received 220 pledges for a total of $1,313,218. Thirty-one pledges were new, and out of the 220 pledges, 103 pledges increased from last year. Each and every pledge makes a difference and we are grateful for any and all amounts! We will publish a list of those who have returned their pledge cards in next week’s e-letter and bulletin. We want to be sure our records are correct. If you were unable to join us on Pledge Sunday and would like to make a pledge, please do not hesitate to reach out to Alexis Azar Posnanski at aposnanski@csmsg.org or 314-.721.1502, ext. 4044. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PLEDGE!
If you have any questions or would like to have a conversation about supporting CSMSG, please do not hesitate to reach out to Alexis Azar Posnanski at aposnanski@csmsg.org or 314.721.1502, ext. 4044.
Did you know the Meal-A-Month program operates all year long with food that is distributed to Trinity Church in the CWE? We also make casseroles that feed eight people (average 12 per month) and 150 sandwich lunch sacks to Gateway 180 Shelter downtown once a month. The casseroles are assembled at church and volunteers take them home to bake and freeze and return to the church; sandwiches are also assembled at church and distributed directly. We are working to feed the hungry. Let us be thankful.

MONDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY: The Wisdom of Proverbs, Job, and Ecclesiastes. As someone who loves the Old Testament, Fr. Peter Speropulos is excited to explore its Wisdom Writings with the Women’s Bible Study. In short, for a wisdom not to only study but to live by. Please join us on Mondays from 9-9:45 AM in the Armstrong Room!

WOMEN'S WEEKEND RETREAT:  The Rev. Susan Guthrie will lead us in retreat entitled; Dark Love: Meeting the Beloved at the Empty Tomb . Mary Magdalene comes to the tomb not expecting anything, but she leaves with everything. So it is with our own prayer - we come in darkness, but leave as apostles. With John 20:1-18, we look at Mary’s transformation as we contemplate our own encounter with the Beloved in the “dark love” deepening from contemplation to mystical union.
The retreat begins at the Mercy Center on Friday at 5 PM and ends on Saturday afternoon. Brochures will be in the mail soon. Contact Laurie for more information at 314.721.1502 or Laurie@csmsg.org .
More information about Suzanne can be found at http://edgeofenclosure.org/aboutsuzanne.html . Mark your calendars. You won’t want to miss this retreat!
