Thank you to everyone who has signed up to help shop, cook, prep or serve for this Sunday's Supper on January 14th. Just a quick reminder that all food and volunteers should report to CHRISTUS VICTOR LUTHERAN CHURCH at 1045 S. Arlington Heights Road in Elk Grove Village.

Protection for Unborn Children


May every human life be protected in law and welcomed in love. Help us continue efforts to support the most vulnerable among us. Please join the United States Bishops in a Novena for Life from January 16-24, surrounding the Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children on Monday, January 22nd. Novena intentions will be included in the Prayer of the Faithful at daily Masses, and you may join the Respect Life and Rosary Ministries to pray the Novena on these dates:

Participate in the Archdiocesan Overnight Vigil for Life on January 18-19 at the UIC Neuman Center Chapel. If you are not able to participate live, download the flyer for a link to participate virtually.

Jesus: The Way, The Truth and The Life


Join the Thursday Evening Adult Education Group for a powerful study on the life of Jesus Christ. This study will run on Thursdays from January 18th to March 21st at 7pm in the Ministry Center at St. Julian Eymard Church or over Zoom. There is a cost of $30 for this study which includes a workbook, companion book, Jesus timeline chart and one-year online access. Be Transformed: The Healing Power of the Sacraments


Are you called to Be Transformed? This Lent, lead a small group based on the book "Be Transformed: The Healing Power of the Sacraments" by Bob Schuchts. Be Transformed explains how the graces from all 7 Sacraments impact our daily lives. As a group leader, you choose meeting days, times and locations and the parish will provide you with a complimentary copy of the book, a study guide and additional training to ensure a rewarding experience. This is a unique opportunity to deepen your faith, connect with fellow parishioners and contribute to our parish Lenten experience. If interested, please contact the parish office. Youth Ministry Pasta Dinner Fundraiser


Just in time to ward off the Winter chill, our Youth Ministry is serving up a hearty pasta dinner on Saturday, February 3rd in Shea Hall at 6pm, following the 5pm Mass. Meals include spaghetti with marinara or meat sauce, salad, bread and drink. Your free-will offering will help offset the cost of our teen's Summer Mission Trip to Catholic Heart Work Camp.


Teens heading to Catholic Heart Work Camp must participate, but all teens are welcome to help. Parents, adult cookers are needed to help with sauce and pasta prep ahead of the Supper. Follow this link to sign up!

Fat Tuesday Bunco with the Women's Club


Come roll the dice with our OLBS Women's Club on Tuesday, February 13th from 6-9pm in Shea Hall. An evening of camaraderie and outrageous fun is planned as the ladies put a Mardi Gras spin on the classic dice game of Bunco. Snacks and prizes will be provided and a $5 cover charge is requested. No experience is needed and all are invited to let the good times roll as we get ready to enter the solemn season of Lent!

Saturday, February 3rd is the Pasta Dinner Fundraiser for Catholic Heart Work Camp. Set up is from 3-5pm, then please plan to attend the 5pm Mass at St. Julian Eymard Church as a team before serving the spaghetti dinner in Shea Hall at 6:00pm. Sign up here!


Youth Ministry will again present the Living Stations of the Cross for the parish on Good Friday. Rehearsals will be on Sundays at 3pm and begin the first Sunday of Lent, February 18th, at St. Julian Eymard Church.
