We are excited to bring the 2026 Oregon ACP Meeting back to Salem, Oregon.

The 2026 Poster Competition will rejoin the meeting on Thursday afternoon!

Plan for many outstanding talks as well a concurrent POCUS workshop.

We will offer opportunities for interaction and social connection, including Trivia (hosted by Lenny Mankin), Meet Your Oregon ACP Committees, and Breakfast Interest Groups.

ACP Internal Medicine Meeting 2026 Featuring Local Speakers

Register for ACP’s premier internal medicine meeting on April 16th - 18th in San Francisco, California, and support local members. A variety of learning experiences are available as well as opportunities to network with colleagues around the globe—more than 7,000 internists and subspecialists attend each year. Pre-courses take place prior to the main session, offering intensive 1-2 day sessions on a particular topic.

2026-27 Mastership and National Awards Nominations Portal Now Active

The 2026-27 Mastership and National Awards Nominations Portal is now active. Before submitting a nomination we encourage you to review the ACP Award & Mastership Categories as well as the overview page, which includes further information on the nomination process, responsibilities of the nominator, and nomination deadlines. Nominators may submit nominations here. You should be able to log into the website using your ACP Online username and password. ACP Releases Updated COVID-19 Practice Points

ACP issued updated COVID-19 vaccine practice points, advising that adults aged 65 and older and adults aged 18 to 64 who are at increased risk for severe COVID-19 should receive the updated 2025-2026 mRNA-based vaccine. ACP also notes that adults aged 18 to 64 who are not at increased risk may consider vaccination. The practice points did not evaluate evidence or make recommendations for pregnant adults or those who are immunocompromised. “COVID-19 Vaccines for 2025-2026 in Adults Who Are Not Pregnant or Immunocompromised: Rapid Practice Points from the American College of Physicians” in Annals of Internal Medicine.

ACP’s recommendations are based on a rapid review of recent vaccine evidence and epidemiologic data, which found that receipt of an Omicron-adapted mRNA vaccine was associated with reduced all-cause mortality and COVID-related hospitalizations compared with not receiving the vaccine. The review also found myocarditis after mRNA vaccination to be uncommon, most often affecting males aged 12 to 24 years.
