The Pause

Offerings to inspire reflection, to break apart a day of obligations or demands, and to help us reconnect with our shared humanity. Use this for a quiet moment and take from these offerings what you want.

When you look back on a lifetime and think of what has been given to the world by your presence, your fugitive presence, inevitably you think of your art, whatever it may be, as the gift you have made to the world in acknowledgement of the gift you have been given, which is the life itself.

And I think the world tends to forget that this is the ultimate significance of the body of work each artist produces. That work is not an expresson of the desire for praise or recognition, or prizes, but the deepest manifestation of your gratitude for the gift of life.

OR ACP Member Selected to Participate in the Annals of Internal Medicine Fellowship Program

Oregon ACP is proud that our member Dr. Linh Tang (R3 Providence St. Vincent) is one of only four senior IM residents from around the country chosen to participate in the Annals of Internal Medicine Fellowship program as she begins her career. This prestigious 12-month editorial fellowship allows early career physicians to gain hands-on experience in medical publishing, including editing and authoring content for the Annals.

This opportunity is a reminder of the many options that ACP provides for professional engagement and development--including at the national level and regardless of career stage.

Check out and consider some of these opportunities for yourself here.
