The Oregon Small Business Development Center is pleased to release our 2024-2027 strategic plan, a comprehensive roadmap that aligns our priorities with the state’s economic development goals and initiatives. Our strategy development for the coming years features the priorities of several business plans, including the Oregon Business Plan, Business Oregon’s Strategic Plan, and Oregon’s 10-year Innovation Plan; collaboration from key stakeholders; and invaluable input from focus group conversations.

The Oregon SBDC Network stands as a beacon of excellence, recognized as one of the most effective SBDCs in the nation. Our efficient training delivery is tailored to meet the unique needs of Oregon business owners, serving thousands of enterprises through personalized one-on-one advising each year. The Oregon SBDC is unwavering in our commitment to supporting underrepresented, nascent, and established business owners across the state, fostering an inclusive and thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Building on Success
Our previous strategic plan, which began before the COVID-19 pandemic, was instrumental in achieving historic advising and business impacts during the recovery period. We successfully teamed our services with partners and built ecosystem relationships with organizations serving underrepresented populations. As a result, we supported a record number of small business startups in Oregon and achieved historic capital impacts.

Our Centers are led by esteemed business professionals with established business histories and credentials. This provides a unique approach and tailored support and guidance to entrepreneurs at every stage in business and builds upon a number of unique partnerships that align our ecosystem efforts.
In addition, our host institutions uniquely team workforce training efforts with the needs of our business owner–focused SBDC training, which provides many advantages for our small business community.
