OSEIA hosted over 150 attendees at the 2014 Oregon Solar Energy Conference. The event brought together industry professionals from all over the continent for two days of education and networking.

Solar water heating and solar pool heating measures discontinued November 7th
Energy Trust has been actively engaged with the Oregon Public Utility Commission as it reviews the cost-effectiveness of certain energy-efficiency measures, including solar water heating and solar pool heating. As stewards of utility customer dollars, Energy Trust is required by law to use cost-effectiveness analyses and tests to ensure incentive dollars are provided for measures that pay back the customer's investment within a reasonable timeframe and benefit all utility customers. After reviewing data provided by Energy Trust and conducting a public comments process during summer and fall of 2014, the OPUC concluded that Energy Trust incentives need to be discontinued for residential and commercial solar water heating and solar pool heating measures because they are no longer passing the cost-effectiveness tests. As a result, incentives will be discontinued November 7, 2014, close of business. Read the full announcement here:

New Solar Array Awarded Through Solar Forward Program
Hacienda Community Development Corporation (Hacienda CDC), with the help of the Solar Forward campaign, will be installing a solar panel array on top of their Futsal Court this fall. Hacienda CDC is a local community development corporation primarily focused on supporting Latino families by offering services such as homeownership support, economic advancement and educational opportunities.
