Organ Restoration Summer Challenge Grant

ORGAN RESTORATION

SUMMER CHALLENGE GRANT

Dear Friends,

On May 3 of this year, we announced a new matching gift challenge to support the organ restoration project as we close in on our ultimate goal of $3.25 million dollars.

The restoration of our organ continues in the workshop at the Schantz Organ Company in Orrville, Ohio. Donations like yours make this work possible.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of two Chicago Temple congregants—an anonymous donor and organ restoration campaign co-chair Lester Munson—any gifts donated for the Opus 414 organ restoration project between May 3 and October 15 will be matched up to $75,000. We are well on our way to meeting this challenge! Our heartfelt gratitude goes to all who have already donated!

We are hoping to meet and to exceed this matching gift well before its deadline. The larger fundraising campaign will continue until we have met our restoration contract obligations and funded the renovation of the organ chamber. We are once again asking for your continued support as we travel along the final leg of our journey. It has been truly miraculous to witness the ways in which more than 300 individuals and families have come together, offering deeply appreciated prayers and gifts, large and small, to propel us along the way toward our campaign goal of $3.25 million!

Especially for those who have not yet been able to participate in this once-in-a-century enterprise, we are asking you to join us in meeting this matching gift opportunity in whatever way you are able.

You may make your donation by visiting our website https://chicagotemple.org/opus414/opus414-support/ or by bringing or mailing your check to the church: 77 W. Washington Street, Suite 200, Chicago, Il 60602. Please note “Organ Restoration” on your check. For any questions about your contribution, including the direct transfer of equities, please contact our fundraising consultant, Helen Dannelly, at helen.dannelly@gmail.com or 415-515-4254 or Erik Nussbaum at erik@chicagotemple.org or 312-854-3835.
