THANK YOU
We always knew our customers were awesome, but last Saturday reminded us just HOW awesome y'all are. After two location changes and a flood, you tracked us down and made it a beautiful day. The West Ward neighborhood welcomed us with open arms and we learned that no matter where we go, the incomparable spirit of EFM will follow. On behalf of all our vendors, we thank you.

We look forward to seeing you back on the riverfront this Saturday for a gorgeous September day.
FRESH PICKS OF THE WEEK
From the Field
Salvaterra's Gardens
Did you know that Salvaterra's grows certified organic apples? It's a banner year so far and the orchard is producing tons of beautiful organic apples. In the modern day quest to produce an ever sweeter tasting apple, we've lost some of that lovely complex aromatic scent and flavor that apples have to offer. Each of Salvaterra's varieties have a unique and complex flavor and aroma, which you just can't find commercial growers. This week's highlight is the 'Kidd's Orange Apple.' It's a beautiful apple with a russeted yellow skin with an orange-red blush. Developed by a New Zealand orchardist named James Hutton Kidd in 1924 and still grown by growers today! It's flavorful, sweet, juicy, crunchy and is delicious as an eating and cooking apple!

Saturday's full line-up includes lettuce mix, arugula, kale, collards, head lettuce, scallions, red beets, tomatoes, green cabbage, onions (red and sweet Walla Walla), leeks, cucumbers, red potatoes, gold potatoes, slicing tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cocktail tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, cilantro, parsley, dill, leeks, poblanos, jalapeños, bell peppers and sweet Italian frying peppers, and pears.
Cabbage Throw Farm
The first of Cabbage Throw Farm's fall french breakfast radishes are back in limited supply. The last heirlooms have been picked and it's time to make some fried green tomatoes! The tangy, unripe tomatoes make for great green salsa or pickles. And just as temperatures start to cool down, it is time to start preserving summer's bounty. Dill and green beans as well as plum tomatoes, sweet red carmen peppers, onions, and garlic are the perfect ingredients for pickling and salsa making! Carrots, Beets, kohlrabi, purple top turnips, peppers, cabbage, fennel, herbs and more are also available this week as well as organic fruit from Comeback Farm.
Phillips Farm
The nights are getting cooler and the days are getting shorter… but don’t despair, because September is the best month out of the whole year for local produce! Phillips Farms will continue to bring you summer favorites like Tomatoes, Corn, Zucchini, Berries and Melons, and new fall items are starting this week as well, so keep an eye out for Brussels Sprouts, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Asian Pears and maybe even fresh Eucalyptus bunches. Our first-of-the-season Apple Cider sold out quickly last week, but there will be plenty more this Saturday.
Scholl Orchards
September is prime time for watermelon. And NEW this week at Scholl's - Sangria watermelon and seedless yellow watermelon, both are delicious. We see some watermelon cocktails in your weekend outlook. Or how about a fresh watermelon feta salad? Try this recipe from Delish! And to keep you in the summer spirit, peaches and nectarines are still sweet and bountiful; it's not too late to do some canning. If you're more of an autumn person, Scholl has you covered there too - Honeycrisp, Gala, Macintosh and Zestar apples are in stock along with some tasty pears. Coming next week... Canary melons!

Holy Cow Farm
Gomphrena, aka globe amaranth, aka those fun papery balls that you've been finding in our bouquets the last few weeks. One of the prettiest rows of flowers on the farm, there are white, pink, and red varieties this year. They have a nice long vase life and make for one of the best dried flowers. These hearty little guys survived the hurricane rains so you'll be seeing them for the next few weeks in your farm fresh bouquets.
Pasture Raised
Raspberry Ridge Sheep Creamery

Rob is featuring a raw sheep's milk Gouda cheese this week. Aged for four months, this cheese is both creamy and sweet with a subtle hint of flowers. It is a great cheese for your cheese board, on a cracker or with your favorite beverage. Gouda-burger anyone?

Rob will also have spreadable cheeses, yogurt, smoothies, feta and hard cheeses. Stop by for a sheep milk treat!
Breakaway Farms

Have you tried Breakaway Farms’ featured Sausage of the Month?

Healthy Market Eats
Zekraft
Zeke & Elaine and their team were busy preparing for today's grand opening of Zekraft Cafe (306 S. New St. in Bethlehem) so they didn't get a menu submitted in time. But you can count on a delicious line-up of salads and soups, and... the return Pot O' S'mores! Since this decadent dessert in a jar sold out in less than 30 minutes last Saturday, chances are you never even caught a glimpse. Trust us when we tell you, you need this in your life!

Just Baked
Pie + Tart
We have been enjoying the more moderate temperatures immensely, and so has the pastry! Just amazing what a difference 15 degrees makes. This Saturday, we’ll have Chicken Curry Pie, Steak and Guinness Pie, and a quite delicious Maltese Ricotta Pie - a cheesy and herbed vegetarian pie that hits all the spots. You’ll also find Lemon Sponge Pie, a Frangipane Tart with Roasted Italian Plums, which is just one of the most delicious pairings of sweet and tart, nutty and fruity. Key Lime Pies, Apple Turnovers, and satisfying Potato, Spinach, and Ricotta Hand Pies, because they’re also delicious.
See you back down by the river!

Apple Ridge Farm
Apple Ridge Farm is featuring their Chocolate Chip Zucchini muffins this Saturday. The photo kinda says it all! Soooooooo good.
Tomblers Bakery
School is back in session. And soccer matches, football games and band practice have the kiddos running in ten different directions. The solution? PASTIES!!! They're the perfect dinner on the run - wholesome and delicious, and ohhh that flaky crust. Another Tomblers favorite is the spent grain pizza crust - top it with all your favorite market veggies, cheese and meats. Oh, and a little birdie told us it was apple pie season... mmm, bring it on!
Brewed & Fermented
Fieldstone Coffee Roasters
Kevin and crew are back this week and they're definitely not ready to say goodbye to summer. Fieldstone will be featuring their 'Extended Summer' cold brew concentrate and nitro. A nice choice for chilling on the riverfront.
PorTch Tea Kombucha (and Pheasant Hill Farm)
This one's perfect for sipping while you watch the river roll by... The Booch of the Day is "Linger" (lemongrass & ginger).
