The purpose of today’s communication is to inform you of an exciting and important organizational change at Financial Independence. There are many factors to building a successful business, but I believe our focus on attracting and retaining high quality professionals has had the greatest impact. Being a professional at Financial Independence requires much more than a good education, industry experience and/or necessary licenses. To achieve our infinite purpose of helping clients live their BEST Lives, we must be more than simply able to design financial plans and deliver investment advice. Our people must share a genuine concern for others, find meaning in their work, and live by a guiding set of core values, such as integrity, at all times.
Please join me in welcoming Melanie Wolfert to the Financial Independence Team as an Operations Specialist. In this role, Melanie will focus on driving development of operational functions, systems and procedures directly linked to delivering exceptional service to our clients. Melanie’s initial areas of focus will include leading the rollout of a newly enhanced risk assessment approach using Riskalyze (an industry leading risk tolerance measurement system), and assuming responsibility for coordinating and managing the client review meeting scheduling process. Look for emails from Melanie regarding these topics in the coming months. Melanie will report to Jude Capalbo, VP & COO and work in our Warwick, RI office.
Prior to joining Financial Independence, Melanie worked as a Branch Administrator at Edward Jones and Store Manager at Walgreens. In those roles, Melanie honed her client experience and communications skills as well as her organization and project management skills.
Despite the challenges we’ve all faced over the last 12 months, and a remote working environment, we have continued to grow the number of clients we serve without sacrificing quality. Our assessment of team roles, responsibilities and development is rigorous and ongoing. As we experience further success, we must never settle or allow complacency to set in. The addition of the Operations Specialist role will help ensure maximum operational effectiveness as we grow, while leveraging our growth to further evolve and streamline our operations. The benefits to our clients include highly competitive pricing, further implementation of cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional service, and a more personalized and custom client experience.
Melanie earned her MBA from the University of Phoenix and BA in English Literature from Roger Williams University. Melanie resides in Riverside, RI and enjoys spending time golfing, gardening, and reading.
I am excited about Melanie's new role with Financial Independence and I’m confident you will notice the value she brings with time. Please join me in congratulating Melanie on her new role (melanie@fi-ri.com).
Warm regards,
