About the painting:

The Original Image of Divine Mercy was painted in Vilnius, Lithuania in 1935 by Polish artist, Professor Eugeniusz Kazimirowski, under the very close direction of Saint Faustina Kowalska.

The image depicts her mystical vision of Jesus Who Himself asked her to “paint an image according to the pattern you see.” Unable to paint, she solicited the help of her spiritual director, Fr. Michael Sopocko, who knew of the fine work of Kazimirowski.

Together, the three went on a six-month artistic excursion that would change the world. Fr. Sopocko occasionally posed as Merciful Jesus while Faustina meticulously described the extraordinary details of her vision for Kazimirowski.

"Invite friends of all backgrounds and faith traditions. This presentation is especially meaningful for those who will one day pass from this earth." -- A Devotee of Divine Mercy
