Emergency hospitals are still really busy. And we’re no different. But, since we expanded our DeLand practice's hours to 24/7 earlier this month, we are seeing a glimmer of hope. Hope that wait times will continue to recede and that more pets can be cared for in a timely manner. We’re not there yet, but we are doing everything we can to accommodate the current caseload, which includes a wide variety of illnesses and injuries, typical and atypical of the summer months.
To maintain this level of care, our team is also growing, as well as their skills and experience. Several technicians have recently become certified, and a few are pursuing their VTS (veterinary technician specialist).
All of this to say, we’re here and we’re ready to help. With a hunger for continuous learning and a desire to serve as a place of comfort and healing, we care deeply about the animals in our community and those who love them. It is our privilege to be your patient’s emergency room and critical care hospitals.
