KITTANNING, Pa. (Jan. 13, 2021) Orphans of the Storm (OOTS) in Rayburn Township is closed for all business and volunteer activities due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19.
The shelter expects to reopen Jan. 23.
This action has been taken to keep staff, volunteers, and customers safe.
As always, despite challenges, the OOTS staff will continue to provide loving care to the animals residing there until volunteers and customers are permitted back.
The shelter appreciates the public's patience and support.
Orphans of the Storm provides temporary shelter for unwanted and abused animals. It matches lovable animals with loving forever homes, educates the public on humane, responsible care of all animals, and promotes spaying and neutering to reduce companion animal overpopulation.
