Osher Executive Director Visits Oregon OLLIs!
One perk of being an OLLI is we have access to the Osher National Resource Center (NRC). The NRC, located at Northwestern University in downtown Chicago, helps OLLIs thrive by connecting OLLIs to resources, collaborating with OLLIs and partner organizations, consulting with OLLI leaders to find solutions, and celebrating the camaraderie and growth of OLLIs. The NRC’s Executive Director, Steve Thaxton, visits Oregon OLLIs this week. He will be in Ashland this Wednesday for a tour of our beautiful Campbell Center campus and discussions with program staff and member leaders. We are honored to welcome him!

Fall Course Proposals Welcomed
VerticalFallTree
OLLI at SOU is looking for a diverse group of creative instructors! Courses can cover previous research or a current passion. It's your enthusiasm and knowledge that bring OLLI members to your course. Each term, OLLI has nearly 100 instructors in the catalog. As many as a quarter of those are teaching with OLLI for the first time. Course Proposals for OLLI's Fall 2023 term are submitted throughout the month of May. Fall term starts September 11, so you have plenty of time to plan, schedule, practice, or learn Zoom. Click here for the link to the Fall Course Proposal form. Hope to see you this Fall!

Spring is Volunteer Appreciation Season
Volunteer Appreciation
Heartfelt Thanks to Cathy Kreisman:

Thank you Cathy for showing us how to teach a Zoom class with a co-host and screen sharing. I was so darn confident that I co-hosted another class using the same skills. You are smart, an asset to OLLI, and easy to talk to.

Heartfelt Thanks to All of OLLI's volunteer Zoom Co-hosts:

You'll never know how much the instructors appreciate your constant help in minding the chat queue, running the recordings, keeping the classroom quiet and many other things. It frees us up to do the best job we can.

Heartfelt Thanks Holly Campbell and her assistant Sue:

Holly is very patient with all of the questions she receives. She has a wonderful, positive attitude and is a fun teacher! Her assistant in class, Sue, is amazing as well. She's helpful, patient and compassionate. They are a great team and I appreciate the time and effort they put into teaching computer classes. Thanks so much!
Take a moment to thank an OLLI Volunteer!

Everywhere you look, there's a volunteer behind the scenes putting their skills, time, and enthusiasm into making our OLLI outstanding. Has a volunteer made your OLLI experience particularly delightful? Click here to tell us who you'd like to thank and why, and we'll share your comments in a future NewsFlash and on Facebook.
