Spotlight on Shared Interest Groups:
Knitting for Fun
This group offers opportunities to knit together with other knitters and to share the joys (and challenges) of knitting. It's a friendly group of knitters and not confined to women. Everyone brings their own knitting project. There may be informal sharing of skills and ideas for knitting. Contact Anne Sloan at [email protected] to find out more about Knitting for Fun.

Honoring OLLI's Past Presidents
OLLI 25th Anniversity

This week we honor two SOLIR Presidents. Mike Kaspic was the 6th President. She served from 1998-1999.
Clayton Gordon was the 7th President of SOLIR, serving from 1999-2000. At that time, SOLIR was a rather small group where most people seemed to know each other. During Clayton’s term the board passed a rule that would cap the membership in SOLIR at 400. This caused such a furor with the membership that the board revisited the issue and reversed its vote so that new people could join the organization. Click here for a link to the video interview with Clayton.
