Keith and Kurt decided to build a Rans S-20 aircraft abut 2 years ago. They are talented builders from the west coast of Wisconsin, not far from the AirVenture airshow in Oshkosh. Kurt flying airliners and Keith demonstrating an expert building skill, they worked hard to perfect an airplane that now has been awarded a 2019 outstanding builder workmanship award. Walking around at this huge show, looking at the thousands of parked aircraft, you get a perspective of what that entails.
After purchasing and building an S-20 fuselage, they waited for Randy to complete the S-21 all metal wing design, before adding these to the S-20 fabric fuselage.
Putting money down on an Aeromomentum engine backfired when phone calls were unanswered after a delivery delay exceeded 4 months. A call to Alissa at Viking restored their faith in an alternative engine and all parts were delivered the same week as ordered.
