Important new resource:

Earlier this week, the Jewish Federation of Ottawa and Rise Up Ottawa! hosted a Q & A Webinar, "Know Your Rights" with human rights attorney Lawrence Greenspon and Ottawa Police Services Sgt. Ali Toghrol, of the Ottawa Police Hate and Bias Crimes Unit.

This session covered many pressing subjects like what a hate crime is and how to report it.

Federation has transcribed and summarized the information here.

A video of the session may be viewed here.

Advocate for Israeli Hostages

Canadian Red Cross

Jewish Federations worldwide are joining an urgent campaign for transparency on hostage welfare with the Red Cross. International law grants the Red Cross visitation rights to hostages, yet access has been denied, constituting a war crime.

Help us demand action by flooding the Red Cross with messages advocating for our abducted loved ones. Amplify the call to "Bring Them Home" by sending a pre-drafted message to the Red Cross and standing together in this critical cause. Take action here.

Pajamas for Israel

There are many children in Israel who are displaced and don't have warm clothing. Please donate PJs for children ages 0-18 between November 6 - 17.

PJs collected will be sent to Kibbutz Maigav Am Hazafon

Contact Hili for the drop-off location.
