23 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!

Have YOU ever had a hard/stressful day????????????
Believe it or not, even we preachers have a little stress in our lives!!!!
I awoke (PRAISE THE LORD FOR AWAKENING AGAIN/NO, I NEVER TIRE OF PRAISING THE LORD OR AWAKENING!!!).............
I AWOKE yesterday not feeling well having not slept well. It was ANOTHER typical overcast and rainy day-at least the temperature was above freezing!
HOW do you folks up north handle the cold?????
And things too rapidly escalated downward as problems unseen manifested themselves-one upon another.
I finally dragged my weary and discouraged body to the old folk's home/gym to at least attempt a feeble workout....................
As I mounted the HATED stationary bicycle, (I cannot do my walking anymore-KNEES!!) a woman whom I had casually met several times at the OLD FOLK'S HOME/gym was cheerfully grinding away on the treadmill.
She is a fellow Christian AND Christian author and we had spoken before about our mutual FAITH.
In our conversation, I began to weave my sad tale of my MANY troubles and tribulations that she was faintly aware of and she answered with:

Out of HER mouth poured out POSITIVE WORDS of FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BRACE YOURSELF.......................THIS IS GONNA' HURT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
James 3:10-11 (KJV)
10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
CAN YOU SAY OUCH!!!!!!!!????????????????
As SHE poured wisdom and Godly WORDS of Holy Scripture into my soul my burdens began to roll off like the wind and my HATED time on the bike flew by!!
We both finished at the same time and she asked if she could PRAY for me-which she did-right there in the OLD FOLK'S HOME/gym.
That simple act made my day. I left there ENCOURAGED and ready to fight on.
Jesus quietly said:

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
“By thy WORDS thou shalt be justified, and by thy WORDS thou shalt be condemned.”
Matthew 21:21-22 (KJV)
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
OUCH!! OUCH!! OUCH!! CAN YOU SAY OUCH!!!???
Without getting too “spiritual” may I say that WORDS matter?????
Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)
7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
TODAY, may each of us:
Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
TODAY, when the enemy attacks and troubles and trial boil over, let each of us:
ENCOURAGE OURSELVES IN THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1 Samuel 30:6 (KJV)
6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
Now folks, that is good preaching-if to nobody but myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
