MASONITE ENTRY DOORS

IT ALL BEGAN WITH DOORS // When Horner Millwork was founded in 1948 we were primarily a door company. At the time, most residential doors were custom made in small woodworking shops, and door frames were custom fitted and mortised by hand on the job site. The idea of mass producing and building ‘prehung’ doors in a factory setting was new and innovative.

Over the years we have watched door trends come and go as new generations of homeowners have sought to make their mark on the suburban landscape. New on the Horner Millwork blog we have compiled our 10 most popular Masonite front entry doors over the past 12 months. Below are some of our favorites, check out the full list on our website.

Masonite introduced a craftsman style door a little over a decade ago, and today it is one of our top-selling doors. With the rise in demand for farmhouse style homes over the past several years, we are seeing a shift in sales from classic New England patterns to American Craftsman inspired door styles.

Vistagrande flush-glazed doors offer a wider viewing area and cleaner appearance over traditional glass inserts and have become extremely popular over the past few years. Pictured above is a fir textured door.

Full-lite Vistagrande doors are a popular choice for entry doors and swinging patio door units. Pictured above in Pearl frosted glass. Pearl frosted glass is a great choice for front entry doors because it offers more privacy than clear glass, and it matches the frosted glass of interior doors.

Masonite is exceptional at providing the latest trend insights and design ideas to the building industry, and delivering distinctive door styles that complement every home. Masonite fiberglass entry doors are available smooth and ready to paint, textured to receive stain, or factory finished in an wide array of paint colors or woodgrains.
