We are happy to release our 2022 Annual Report showcasing the remarkable growth and impact of the Mentors we all support. With your generous donations, we expanded our reach to 56 clubs in Zambia, Madagascar and Zimbabwe and now serve nearly 1,000 youth. This is a testament to the real change happening in people's lives. GSGC youth are excelling, inspiring their communities and attracting interest from other countries. Our dedicated Mentor Network is more united than ever in empowering girls and breaking the cycle of poverty. Together, we can make a brighter future possible. Fight Period Poverty for Menstrual Hygiene Day, May 28

Tomorrow is International Menstrual Hygiene Day. We've set a goal to raise US$5,000 to help our clubs increase awareness of menstrual hygiene and provide sustainable supplies so girls can stay in school during their periods.

Our girls and boys clubs in Southern Africa work year-round to break taboos and end the stigma surrounding menstruation. Your support will make a tremendous difference NOW in the lives of the 579 girls currently in our clubs. Together, we can continue to change attitudes about menstruation, empower young women, and create lasting change.

Alumna Shows Leadership at Believe Girls Club, Zambia

We love seeing the impact our Mentors have on girls in their clubs!

Meet Jane, an alumna who has been with Believe Girls Club in Zambia for six years. She is a great example of the influence our programs have on girls' lives. "This weekend, Jane gave us two amazing presentations on mental health and self-esteem,” said Mentor Racheal Ng’andu. “It was beautiful to watch how she has grown so confident and is now giving back to the club by providing her services through volunteering as a mentee. We look forward to having more girls giving presentations and speaking confidently like Jane."

New Episodes to Hear on GSGC Talk Radio!

GSGC Talk Radio gives our community and local changemakers a platform to discuss our work. Hosted by Mentor Gloria Mubita in Livingstone, Zambia, the podcast is gaining steam and now has four episodes released and ready to hear!

In one of the latest episodes, Gloria sat down with special guest Melissa Foley to talk about the link between tourism, community development and gender equality. And Episode No. 4 features an in-depth discussion with Mentor Nyika Muyambo and GSGC Founder Priscilla Plummer about a model for supporting changemakers to empower girls and strengthen communities in Southern Africa. Creative Expressions 2023 is Just Around the Corner!

Club members are eagerly beginning work on their entries for Creative Expressions 2023, an annual highlight in GSGC’s calendar. Whether through drawing, painting, essays, poetry, song, dance or crafts, this annual competition provides a chance for youth to deepen their talents and interests, build confidence, and express their dreams and challenges.

Girls Time's Educational Experience with Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust

At GSGC, we're passionate about empowering girls and connecting them with the wonders, experiences and opportunities of the world. So we're happy to share a recent visit to the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust with you!

Girl's Time Club organized an incredible day filled with immersive experiences and insightful discussions about wildlife conservation — everything from learning about poaching and human-wildlife conflict to encountering fascinating creatures like hyenas and elephants. The result? Girls were inspired to be stewards of nature.

“Poverty, Inc.” is a must-watch for all committed to helping break the cycle of poverty worldwide. Thoughtful, thorough, and well documented, the film covers global financial aid from A to Z.
