Me: I want a magical unicorn for Christmas. Santa: Be realistic.
Me: Ok, I want 5 minutes to myself each day to drink my coffee while it is still hot and to go to the bathroom in peace….

Congratulations to Mike Budde and the team at Culver’s for opening their third restaurant in the south metro! Their new Prior Lake location joins Apple Valley and Lakeville in their family of restaurants. Mike does so much to give back to our communities, it was fun to celebrate him this week! If you like shrimp, you MUST try theirs – it is truly one of my favorites!

From our friends at Cities South Magazine. It's time to celebrate the best that Lakeville has to offer! Their Best of Cities South 2025 annual readers' poll offers a fill-in-the-blank voting system, making it easier for voters to nominate the businesses, organizations and places that serve the Cities South community. Voting is live with three simple rules*:
- One entry is allowed per person; each ballot needs to include an email address.
-
Ballots must be completed by 5 p.m. January 31, 2024.
-
Voters need to vote in at least five categories to ensure their ballot is counted.

Lakeville was a big winner AGAIN!
The sweaters did not disappoint!
Thank you to everyone who came out for our annual holiday happy hour this week. A special thank you to Buck Hill for hosting. What a perfect backdrop for a holiday or winter gathering – pine trees on one side and skiers, tubers and snowboarders swooshing down the hills on the other! This year’s Ugly Sweater contest winners were: Jeff Larson, Brandon Puterbaugh/Charged Fitness + Rehab, Tammy Gruidl, MOR Golf.

This week we held our annual Ambassador holiday party and gift exchange. Our Ambassador crew does so much to support our members throughout the year – celebrating at ribbon cuttings, welcoming new members to events, delivering milestone anniversary recognition plaques, sending renewal thank you notes, and so much more. We are very thankful for this crew of people who serve as an extension of the Chamber staff in supporting our local business community!

And while all of our Ambassadors could hold this title – our 2024 Ambassador of the Year is Dusty Brown with Laker Promotions! This award is given to the Ambassador who has attended and participated in the most events throughout the year. This year was a TIGHT race, but in the end it was Dusty who is victorious!
|
Dusty has been a Lakeville Chamber member since 2019 and an Ambassador for a few years. Not only does he make it a point to attend as many events as possible, he continues to spread the word about our Chamber community – the work we do, the way we support our entire business community, and how we can help someone’s individual business needs. If you see us wearing Chamber logo gear around town, the chances are pretty good that it came from Dusty at Laker! Dusty, thank you for your commitment to our community and chamber and congratulations! We will honor Dusty, and our other annual award winners, at the Annual Dinner on January 30. Registration is open, grab your tickets today!
