Resolved for 2024
2022 was a wonderful year, and 2023 was a tough year. I do not know what 2024 holds in store, but I do know this: the pro-life community is going to continue to show up, no matter how rough it gets (and it is likely to get tougher for us).
I know that we will continue to show up, because I see it every day. Yesterday, I waited at a coffee shop in Clintonville to see a young mom who had aged out of the foster care system and found herself with a very small baby in the NICU and no idea where to turn next. We helped her with some basics- a car seat and stroller, bottles, blankets, etc. Friends donated a pack and play and diapers and clothes (thanks Anna and Gabe!) But yesterday I was able to share the generosity of the amazing people at St. Patrick's - they had made her a beneficiary of their giving tree, and I was able to gift her with nearly $500 worth of gift cards.
It will continue, too. I know many churches - like St. Brendan and St. Joseph, are planning to host a baby showers (and there are probably many more that I'm not aware of). Thank you.
We'll hopefully see you at our Volunteer Breakfast on January 6th - registration is needed by Tuesday, at the Roe Remembrance on January 22, or during 40 Days for Life, which starts this year on February 14th (which is both Ash Wednesday and Valentine's Day).
I hope each of you had a beautiful Christmas, and thank you to everyone who responded to our year-end-appeal. We gave the campaign everything we could, and so your ongoing support means a lot.
