As a way of recognizing that contribution, we are offering a $1,000 honorarium for each topic-approved locality or feature article published in the Mineralogical Record. The honorarium is paid to the principal author, or to a co-author if the principal author is a Mineralogical Record staff member.*
So, if you’ve been thinking about writing an article—or if you’re already working on one for consideration—please go ahead and submit your idea for approval. If it’s a good fit for the Mineralogical Record, you now have an additional incentive to see it through to publication!
And remember, you don’t have to do it all on your own. We’re happy to help with locating references, photographs, illustrations, and other information that may be needed to bring your article to life.
