CASA Youth Give Back

The goal of our Fostering Futures program is to provide CASA youth who are ages 11 to 18 with the tools necessary to successfully transition to independence and realize their full potential. CASA volunteers who have completed additional training help to implement this program.

This month, CASA youth worked together to give back to our community. They prepared delicious desserts for the New Community Shelter, an emergency shelter in Green bay that is open year-round and serves homeless adult men and women.

"It was great seeing our youth enjoying themselves as they made desserts to share with others in our community," said Youth Advocate Coordinator Guadalupe Dorado.

CASA youth learned about the value of giving back and how each of them contributes to our community. Giving back provides youth with a sense of belonging, commitment and often a new experience.

"Giving back is taking the time to help your community and showing that you care about others." said a CASA youth.
