Hyung Jin Nim started his sermon by discussing how Christians need to pay attention to the Old Testament. In the first century AD, Marcionites denied the Old Testament, attributing it to a lower deity. They even removed references in the New Testament to the Old Testament. One issue to examine is Isaiah 53 which is seen as the proof text in the Old Testament that predicts that Jesus came to die. In Isaiah 41 there are numerous uses of the Hebrew word, “avdi,” which means “servant,” to refer to the nation of Israel, not to the messiah alone.

1^st Gen church members should be proud of their experiences being arrested and spending time in prison for the "crime" of fundraising for their church. He has heard stories of Moonies who trespassed in U.S. military bases and Lockheed Martin to sell flowers.



 In our time, with a quasi-Communist/WEF government, being arrested is a sign of goodness. During the Covid lockdowns, Australian police threw men and women on the ground for taking a walk on the beach or questioning government policies or the value of the vaccine online.

A local politician in northeast Tennessee was a Hells Angel before changing his life. All the founding fathers were “gangsters.” They would all have been executed. Jesus was a “felon” according to Roman law.

Trump has now denounced vaccine mandates. Americans have greater potential to resist repressive agendas since they have the 2^nd Amendment. In the U.S. civilians have more arms than militaries around the world.

Area politicians are shocked when they learn that True Father was put in prison for failing to pay $7K in taxes. Even though it is now 11 years after he passed, the Left cannot forget about Sun Myung Moon. Just last month, in August 20, 2023, there was a Rolling Stone magazine story about how Sun Myung Moon “digested the scientists and fueled climate change denial.”

The Deep State-aligned media have to denounce Trump because he is a threat to their monopoly on power.

The book of Deuteronomy clearly states the 2 choices that nations, and each of us, have to make:



1. “And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. Deuteronomy 28:1

2. “But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. Deuteronomy 28:15

It is an issue of obedience, not just belief. He praised Mennonite and Amish culture for its purity. If Christian churches in America taught about the Fall of Man and the need to exercise discipline over your sexual organ clearly and strongly to young people, leading them to invest in their future marriages and families, the nation would be very different.

The Christian “dating” culture is a contradiction, leading to degradation and damage to marriage and family life. Many women learn too late that having children later in your life is difficult. In vitro fertilization is VERY expensive, not to mention a low rate of success.

Accept your position as King and Queen of your family with heavenly authority to guide your children when they are young (0-7). They will learn to respect your authority as the Father in the home.

The second stage (8-14), entering the teen years, is one of building conversations and understanding.

Don’t argue with your husband in front of your children. Show unity. Protecting the King’s authority also affirms the Queen’s authority. Wives should not nag husband or children. Control your desire to vent.

It’s natural for children in this second stage to rebel and to question the beliefs of the parents. This is the time to evangelize, study apologetics together. Don’t get upset if they express doubt or disagreement. Fast is slow and slow is fast. But, of course, if they are pursuing drugs or sex you have to chastise them.

True Father’s favorite calligraphy means “Words Actualized.” If you train, you will develop your parenting skills.

True Father’s Seonghwa Memorial

Eleven years ago Richard and I attended True Father’s Seonghwa ceremony in Korea. We had the chance to view his physical body in the open air casket. I was so surprised to see that his face had no smile and had what looked like a frown, like he wanted to tell us something but couldn’t. This was the first time I had ever seen that kind of expression on his face. I felt that something had happened, but I didn’t know what.

In the weeks before Sanctuary’s observance of this 11^th anniversary of his passing I felt nervous about preparing adequately. I had a dream about True Father. With a big smile, he told me he would like to have Noguri ramen. I remember that during my time at East Garden, True Father would sometimes decline to eat a beautiful meal, if the ones preparing the meal had been having an argument or were unhappy. Then he would simply ask to eat ramen instead.

This time the Kingdom Academy students helped to prepare the offering table. Many had never seen True Father while he was alive even one time. One said, “that is why I am here. I can get trained by the 2^nd King.” They can feel True Father’s love through his training. One 2^nd Gen spoke about True Father while shedding tears.

I think their unity in making preparations made True Father happy during this time. After the ceremony at breakfast, the 2^nd King and Queen were joyfully talking about their experiences with him. I felt that True Father was happy with us. The holy days are an important opportunity to reconnect with True Father’s heart and victory!
