Dear Friends,

For the time being, until it is safe to gather again, HaMakom has ceased all in-person activities. Prayer services, pastoral activities, learning, community events, and meetings of all types will be held using online or telecommunications technologies, if possible.

These are challenging times, especially f or an organization whose main role is to foster intimate and meaningful community. We are committed to continuing to support our HaMakom community with spiritual nourishment, learning and celebration in whatever ways we can, as long as it does not involve in-person contact. We will be increasing our use of  Zoom videoconferencing and other technologies, with opportunities for learning, sharing and community online. Specific details will be forthcoming over the next few days.

Please find ease by knowing we can reach out to each other. What do you feel grateful for or enriched by today?

May we be strong and strengthen each other!

Peace and Blessings,
Hazzan Cindy Freedman

Care For Our Community

HaMakom First Night Community Seder has been cancelled.
We are thinking through how we can best be present
for and to each other for Pesach. Stay tuned!

HaMakom will be hosting Zoom online gatherings for sharing, music, Torah study, meditation and community connection very soon.

Just a few of my favorite livestreamed Shabbat services with outstanding music listed below. All from the east coast usually starting at 4:00 pm or 4:30 pm Mountain time on Fridays.

B'nai Jeshurun             (Conservative Siddur)
Romemu                       (Renewal Siddur)
Central Synagogue      (Reform Siddur)

B'nai Jeshurun and Romemu have dynamic Shabbat morning services as well, usually starting at 7:30 am or 8 am Mountain time. All recorded for later viewing. No siddur needed to enjoy these Shabbat services.

As we remember beloved family members at their Yahrzeit, at Yizkor, and in our celebration of Passover, considering adding a plaque to the wall of remembrance in the SF Jewish Cemetery to bring their memory and legacy closer.
