For nearly two weeks, our clients receive a small, thoughtful gift with each meal, reminding them they are seen, valued, and part of a caring community.

Last year,

  • 78% of our clients felt less lonely,
  • 92% said their holidays were brighter, and
  • 1 in 3 shared it was their only celebration.

Here are a few ways chamber members can get involved:

This is more than a holiday project—it’s a chance for your group to feel the joy of making a difference, together!

Doctors Care needs for companies to step up with sponsorships for programs, not just events. In healthcare, we are seeing major funding cuts at the state and federal levels.

Our Connection to Coverage program, which helps individuals obtain health insurance, is fully funded by a state entity that is anticipating significant federal cutbacks, causing a potential loss of our program.

The loss in Medicaid coverage for community members and funding for Doctors Care will also significantly impact our clinic operations as we see our uninsured population grow and reimbursement dollars decrease.

The South Metro Community Foundation needs tax-deductible donations to help hire navigators for youth in foster care for at least the last year before they age-out of the system at age 18.

The navigators will help these vulnerable young people file for complicated housing vouchers and prevent homelessness. They will encourage the youth to finish high school and/or take additional training so they can get jobs and support themselves. The navigators will also help keep the youth from being trafficked and from using large amounts of drugs and alcohol, which gets them into the criminal justice system. Immigrant Pathways Colorado is seeking support to help fund self-development grants for immigrants who are in the country with documents (legally) and who have very low income. The grants help immigrants reach their dreamed-of professions, enabling them to move their families out of poverty. The grants also help doctors, nurses, dentists, lawyers, pilots, teachers and others who were professionals in their home countries, but who need retraining to practice in their chosen fields in Colorado. In addition, donations will help IPC provide scholarships to immigrant students studying at Arapahoe Community College and conduct workshops to help the community understand immigration issues. Learn more and donate at www.connectingimmigrants.org, or send a check to IPC, P.O. Box 401, Littleton, CO 80160.
