At the 22 August Council Meeting, Council approved the transition of our light motor vehicle fleet to Electric Vehicles (EVs). We already have two vehicles (MG at City Services and BYD at Admin Building) in our pool so I encourage you all to use them for your next pool vehicle booking. If you are unsure of the charging aspect, please contact Chris Crichton who will be more than happy to assist. We will be rolling out the balance of the fleet as our current cars are due for renewal.

The General Staff Meeting (GSM) was held yesterday at the Marion Cultural Centre (MCC). It was great to see you all in attendance to hear updates from the organisation. A recording is available for catch-up here.

How to: Chamber online meeting set-up

Did you know weโ€™ve recently refreshed some of the equipment in the Chamber to make things easier to use? You can now go in there without needing to schedule it with IT first โ€“ simply tap the iPad on the North East Wall, and select that you are there for a meeting.

After the system turns itself on, you can push Windows + K on your laptop to connect to the Chamber Cast in the same way that you would connect to any of our other meeting rooms through the City of Marion.

At the end of your meeting, push Windows + K on your laptop to disconnect, then use the iPad to touch the shutdown.

For more complex setups and meetings please approach IT Helpdesk as you have done in the past.

Join us for a โ€˜wildโ€™ lunchtime

We are all good sorts

We are excited to announce the near completion of our bin rollouts to libraries and Neighbourhood Centres! We have distributed over 160 recycling and organics bins across all sites.

In the last four months across City Services and the Admin Centre, an additional 2,900kg of recyclables and organics has been diverted from landfills to recycling and organics bins.

Contamination in the yellow bins (items that donโ€™t belong) has decreased from 30 per cent to less than 10 per cent. All staff are to be congratulated for these fantastic results!
