This year, for the first time in ten years, Montbello opened its doors as a comprehensive high school. As the district's largest bond project to date, the new building will include the latest in school architecture design with cornerstones from the old building to bring the students of Montbello an innovative state of the art campus by August 2024. Earlier this week, DPS broke ground on the Reimaging Montbello Project with a community celebration and a few words from district leaders. Watch the full ceremony and the recap.

Proposition FF: Healthy School Meals for All Colorado Students
The DPS Board of Education voted to support Proposition FF: Healthy School Meals for All Colorado Students. This important statewide initiative is on ballots this election. If passed, it will provide funding for all districts to feed every student who needs a meal without shame or stigma, funding for purchasing healthy food from local farmers and ranchers and funding for better wages for cafeteria staff. This initiative will have a historic impact on childhood hunger in Colorado. When meals were recently available to all students with federal aid, Colorado saw a 19% increase in students getting the food they need. For more information, visit yesonff.org.
