Mayor Hancock Partners with Montbello Career and Technical High Students
Mayor Hancock and Hertz joined Montbello Career and Technical High School students to kick off the exciting new partnership between Hertz and the City of Denver. It will bring up to 5,200 rental electric vehicles (EV) to Hertz customers and Uber rideshare drivers. The partnership will also provide training to the school's auto certificate program, and increase charging capacity at Denver International Airport, Hertz locations and more. Hertz is donating an EV and providing EV educational and training materials to enable the school to incorporate EV technology into its auto-servicing curriculum. Hertz is also offering summer jobs to Denver youth.

“Montbello Career and Technical houses the only high school automotive program in the far northeast region of Denver,” said Principal Arnetta Koger. “Now, with our first electric vehicle, we will be able to ensure that our students are preparing for the jobs and technologies of the future.”
