November 14, 2023

Dear Friends,

The end of the year has seen exciting opportunities as well as changes at Accompany Capital and we want to thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. At our annual board meeting in late September, we met to celebrate and reflect on the achievements and major events of the past year, and to set goals for 2024.

The challenges for our clients are many and, accordingly, we reaffirmed that our commitment to our clients includes developing new programs to address those evolving challenges and needs.

To contribute to that commitment we are announcing the creation of the Leonid Ostrovsky Lending Internship in memory of our late Chief Lending Officer to honor his passion for supporting immigrant and refugee businesses. Please reach out to me if you're interested in supporting this important initiative or if you know a good candidate.

We are also very pleased to announce that we have been funded for an IDA Program by the Office of Refugee Resettlement with a grant of $350k for the next 4 years. This will enable us to provide match grants of $6,000 to families and $3,000 to individuals for up to 80 refugee families and 144 individuals.

And finally, attached below please find a link to our Annual Report for FY 2022 as well as news about an exciting startup competition in partnership with The Tech Incubator at Queens College; the results of our successful PitchTank for NYC women entrepreneurs; notes on an inspiring summit I attended in Izmir, Turkey, on refugee entrepreneurship; and of course, our annual crowd favorite – the Momo Crawl!

Warm regards,

Yanki Tshering

Executive Director

Our 2022 Annual Report

While 2022 was a busy year for us with new initiatives, re-activated events, new

webinars, and the development of new loan products to better serve our clients, we

also made time to reflect on lessons learned about both economic resilience and

vulnerability from the pandemic, lockdowns, and recovery. We therefore made a commitment to provide businesses not only with capital products but also the financial products, training, and advice they need to build resiliency and think more strategically about future prosperity
