Like so many of you, we find inspiration and strength from the example of feminist icon Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, and deeply mourn her death.
But her words, "Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you," ring in our ears as we continue to conspire to make creative forms of resistance, activism, and community available to all who are committed to the ongoing movement for women’s equality.
You can look below to see some examples: Our solidarity with Redemptorist Fr. Tony Flannery in the face of ongoing persecution from the hierarchy; our global liturgy with Women’s Ordination Worldwide; the hopeful words I spoke when interviewed by the Tablet: “Catholic women are so strong. We will find a way.”
And you can join with us as we celebrate 45 years of our strong and compelling movement during “Breaking Bread at the Table of Justice: A Celebration of Prophetic Persistence” our virtual gala from November 27-30. Find more information here, and consider becoming a sponsor or donating an auction item.
We will persist until women are in the places where decisions are made in our Church. Thank you for your part in creating a movement that has led so many others to join us.
