August Header

Dear Fearless! Community,

As summer winds down, we are reflecting with gratitude on the powerful ways our community has come together and are filled with reminders that we are stronger when we show up united.

In this issue, we’re sharing highlights from our events, spotlighting the supporters who make our work possible, and showing how your continued involvement fuels hope and change for survivors and their families. Thank you for being part of the Fearless! movement.

Impactful Events

National Night Out

On August 5, Fearless! staff and volunteers showed up loud and proud at nine National Night Out locations across Orange and Sullivan Counties.

We met with hundreds of community members and their children, shared vital resources, and strengthened connections with both our local police departments and community partners. These conversations and moments of connection help us nurture critical relationships and ensure that safety and prevention stay at the forefront of every community we serve.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by a table, shared a story, or asked a question - this is how we build a safer, more informed community together.

Back To School Supplies Drive

Throughout July and August, we collected thousands of school supplies to support children and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and other crimes.

Thanks to the generous support of individuals, families, and businesses like Mediacom, The Hudson Valley Renegades, Vail's Gate United Methodist Church, Victoria Samadi, and St. James Episcopal Church, we were able to fill backpacks and distribute supplies directly to youth in Orange and Sullivan Counties.

Your contributions ensure that every child we serve starts the school year feeling prepared, confident, and cared for. We are truly grateful for your support, and so are the kids.

Partner Spotlight

Keller Williams Hudson Valley United Logo

Keller Williams Hudson Valley United has been a steadfast supporter of our mission for over a decade, showing up time and again to uplift survivors and strengthen our work. Most recently, their sponsorship of our 2024 Holiday Client Party, covering both the venue and catered food, allowed us to focus entirely on creating a joyful and supportive experience for the families we serve. Their generosity ensured that this cherished tradition could return after years of absence, and their impact was felt in every smile that day.

Their dedication doesn’t stop there. From sponsoring countless events like our annual Brunch, to organizing special fundraising initiatives such as yard sales and donation drives, and securing us space at the Newburgh Illuminated Festival, the Keller Williams Hudson Valley United team continues to go above and beyond.

Not only has the Hudson Valley United branch championed our mission, but their sister offices have as well. Through their company-wide Red Day service initiative, many Keller Williams teams have directly supported our work. In 2017, Keller Williams Realty First rejuvenated our shelter space with thoughtfulness and care. In 2023, Keller Williams Valley Realty hosted a “Shop for a Cause” event at The Shoppes at Lake Street, helping us collect wishlist items and raise essential funds.

Margaret Mead once said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” Keller Williams is a powerful example of that truth, and we are deeply grateful for their continued partnership and unwavering belief in our work.

Every event, donation, and act of support makes a real difference in the lives of survivors and their families, and you are part of building safer, stronger communities across Orange and Sullivan Counties. Thank you for standing with us - we couldn’t do this work without you.

Join us at our upcoming events and continue walking beside us as we reclaim safety and build hope together.
