Our GS-NCCP Community Updates
Dear Girl Scout families,

Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines is continuing to ensure that we keep our girls engaged and active. Every week we will continue to provide you with resources and activities to help girls learn, grow, and thrive with Girl Scouts. We remain committed to supporting our Girl Scout community, and we are proud of what our Girl Scouts are doing to support each other and their communities virtually during these challenging times.

See below for this week’s updates, and please reach out to our Customer Care team with any questions or concerns. They can be reached at helpdesk@nccoastalpines.org or 1-800-284-4475. We are in this together!

Giving Tuesday- May 5
For more than 100 years, Girl Scouts have learned the skills, embraced the experiences, and cultivated the friendships that enable them to change the world now and accomplish big things in the future. Especially in times of crisis, Girl Scouts pull together as part of a sisterhood to take action to help communities in need. On Giving Tuesday Now power our promise and show your support for the nearly 25,000 girls in our council who give back and help them reach their full potential as leaders.
Exploring Women's Suffrage
We are re-releasing the Explore Women’s Suffrage in North Carolina council patch program with opportunities for girls to complete the activities virtually. Please note that although the activities vary between the two patch programs, the actual patch is the same. This patch is available for purchase from our retail store. Once your girl has completed the activities, use our online link to order the Explore Women's Suffrage in North Carolina patch.
Letter Writing Service Project
Join Girl Scouts across the country in our national letter writing campaign. Troops (and their friends) are encouraged to write letters to people in nursing homes, senior residences, and assisted living facilities, including the dedicated staff who are caring for them. This is showing that we are thinking of them during this difficult time, and that we are truly all in this together!
Celebrating our Military Families
It’s Military Appreciation Month! Our military families mean so much to our council, and we are celebrating with a special contest! We would like for all military-connected Girl Scouts to share why they are proud to be a military child, what makes them special, or to just tell us about their experience. Submit a short video or share a photo and writing a few sentences in a document. On June 1st, we will be selecting two winners at random for a $50 council gift card, and each girl that participates will receive FREE patch.
