Celebrating Our Graduating Girl Scouts
Each year, our Girl Scout Ambassadors graduate high school and age out of our traditional program for girls, but their Girl Scout friendships, memories, and adventures remain with them for life! This year we will launch a new campaign to applaud our graduating Girl Scouts and to welcome them as our most recent alums!
Graduates, be on the lookout for a surprise package heading your way early this summer. We are so proud of you and welcome you to the lifetime sisterhood of Girl Scouts as you become a proud alum! Congratulations!
Raising Awesome Girls
Our parenting experts at Raising Awesome Girls have been continuing to post interesting and timely articles on navigating the pandemic with girls of all ages.

One recent article, Celebrations Are Still Important-- Even in a Pandemic, explains why creating special memories during this time is more important than ever. The article provides ideas to help parents and caregivers get in the celebratory spirit, whether it’s for their kid’s birthday or their own, a graduation, or an anniversary.
Save the Date: Virtual Gold Award Celebration
This year, we will recognize the accomplishments of the 2020 Gold Award Girl Scouts during a week-long virtual celebration, July 13-17 ! The Gold Award Celebration Week will honor more than 50 Gold Award Girl Scouts across our councils 41-county footprint. We will kick-off the week with our first ever virtual Gold Award celebration on Monday, July 13 hosted on Facebook Premier . We invite Gold Award Girl Scouts, family members, friends, supporters, and the community to join the watch party as we celebrate their prestigious achievements.
What Girl Scouts Stands For
To make the world a better place, we must commit to working together build an antiracist society. Not being a racist is not enough. Honoring diversity without being inclusive is not enough. Inclusivity is a big part of the Girl Scout DNA. From the very moment founder Juliette Gordon Low first mentioned her plans to start Girl Scouts, it was set to be an organization not only for the girls of Savannah but also for “all of America, and all the world." And if you didn’t already know, Girl Scouts is a nonpolitical, nonpartisan organization, we are not red or blue, we are Girl Scout green and proud.
Our GS-NCCP Community
Troop #3003 of Pitt County has been working on their WOW Journey and Get Moving Journey from home. Though it has been a challenge, they made it work and learned how to take care of the planet and make an impact while they are together but apart. They have also worked on their Musician, Gardener, My Family History, and Household Elf Badges and a paddle boat challenge and leap bot challenge... all from home!

Share your Girl Scouting at Home experiences by posting a photo to your social media page and tagging us and #OurGSNCCPCommunity or share them through our Girl Scout Story form.
