A new home for programs at St. Peter's hospital

Three points to remember about the proposed change for St. Peter's:
  1. We must plan for growth in demand for the services currently provided at the St. Peter's campus
  2. We can't build on the St. Peter's campus
  3. Patients at St. Peter's are increasingly sicker and with more complex conditions, and need to be closer to acute-care services

Restorative Care: The program that does a lot with a little

The Restorative Care Program at St. Peter’s Hospital helps patients with multiple medical or complex conditions meet their goals to transition back into their homes and the community.

Learn how custom-built space and a different set up will enable patients to receive more direct therapy in better surroundings, which could significantly reduce their length of stay.
Growing and changing to provide the care our community needs
The Our Healthy Future (OHF) initiative is a redevelopment planning process  that began in
spring 2015. As of June 2016 we developed a vision for our
future model of care and the facilities we’ll need to deliver that care. The vision was approved by the HHS Board of Directors and was then submitted to the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Local Health Integration Network and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for review. We will be working throughout 2017 to complete and receive approval from the LHIN and Ministry of Health for each part of our Stage 1 submission.
