Goldie Gala 2024 at New Venue, Chicago Union Station,

Recognized as the G.O.A.T.

A celebration of record-breaking fundraising, increased attendance, and

the largest class of Goldie Scholars to date

At the 8th annual Goldie Gala on September 19, Molly McShane, CEO of The McShane Companies, was honored as the 2024 Shero, an award presented annually by The Goldie Initiative to a woman executive whose achievements inspire the next generation of female commercial real estate professionals.

The Goldie Gala is an opportunity to celebrate Goldie Scholars, valued stakeholders, and the commercial real estate industry. It is often referred to as ‘the networking event of the season,’ attracting the best and brightest throughout commercial real estate. This year’s Goldie Gala raised nearly $1.2 Million in support of the organization’s mission and welcomed around 1,000 attendees, surpassing previous totals. In her speech on event night, Goldie B. Wolfe Miller, founder of The Goldie Initiative, called this year's Gala the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time).

The 2025 Goldie Gala is scheduled for Thursday, September 18th. The full 2024 photo album is available here.

When Women, Lead Values Follow

Increasing the number of women in leadership roles is good for both a company’s bottom line and for infusing its values into operations. This isn’t an opinion; it is a fact with decades of research to back it up, as explained in an article in Commercial Property Executive.

One case in point is Molly McShane (pictured), a stand-out example of a values-centric leader and The Goldie Initiative’s 2024 Shero award winner. Since Molly was appointed CEO of The McShane Cos. in 2020, the firm’s employees—and potential recruits—are paying attention to both Molly’s approach and her status as one of the few female CEOs of national, large-scale construction and development companies.
