CELEBRATING

20 YEARS

OF FREE TAX ASSISTANCE

Hundreds of our neighbors could use some help this tax season, and our VITA program provides the expertise needed. VITA, our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, offers free tax help to low- to moderate-income individuals and families. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing for qualified individuals.

Site locations have been determined for 2025, click the button below for signup, location details, and available times.

This program is vital for hundreds in the Big Bend, and we can't do it without volunteers! If you're interested in volunteering this year, click the link below to learn more or contact Samantha Sager at (850) 414-0856.

OUR 2024-25 CAMPAIGN

United Way’s Workplace Campaigns are about bringing people together where they work to tackle our community’s most challenging issues – because no one person or organization can do it alone.

Whether a small business, a major corporation or a non-profit organization, you can join the numerous local businesses and organizations that run United Way campaigns each year. Participating in a United Way campaign will give your organization the opportunity to learn firsthand about the needs in the Big Bend region as well as provide rewarding team building experiences through volunteerism.

Interested in running a United Way Campaign at your workplace? Contact Angela Gibbs at angela@uwbb.org.

Together, we are building a stronger, more resilient community, and we couldn't do it without your support.

REALITY STORE HELPS STUDENTS PLAN FOR THEIR FUTURES

Navigating the expenses of everyday adult life is difficult, and many students find themselves unprepared to budget and routinely pay bills upon graduation from high school or college. Our Reality Store program simulates living life independently and shows students what it's like to live on a budget, pay bills, and provide for themselves. If you'd like to host or sponsor a Reality Store, reach out to Sarah Myhre at sarah@uwbb.org for more information today!

Donate one hour of your time per week to help change the lives of struggling readers in the Big Bend

MATH SKILLS NEEDED TO HELP STRUGGLING YOUTH
