In 2024, Bladder Cancer Canada is committed to continuing to offer educational events, increasing research capacity, and ensuring support for those affected by bladder cancer.

  • We offer practical tips and tools, ensuring that individuals facing a bladder cancer diagnosis receive the support they need.

  • We will continue continue information sharing through a series of educational webinars, website resources, and 2 in-person patient events across Canada.

  • We will create comprehensive health, wellness, and sexual health resources for patients to enhance overall well-being.

  • Educate both the medical community and the public about hematuria and its crucial association with bladder cancer.

With your support we can improve outcomes for bladder cancer patients and achieve our mission – where bladder cancer is just a memory.

Seeking Bladder Cancer Patients for Various Studies

Our American partners at BCAN are looking for input from Canadian patients. If you have been diagnosed with muscle-invasive bladder cancer, you are invited to take part in a patient study.

The purpose of this study is to help doctors better understand the experience of patients who have been diagnosed with muscle-invasive bladder cancer.
If you would be interested in learning more about this or other studies and/ or want to share your story with other bladder cancer patients, please click HERE.
Provide Your Insight to Help Build Informative Resources for the Bladder Cancer Community

Bladder Cancer Canada is consistently developing valuable resources to offer useful tips and tools for individuals navigating the challenges associated with a bladder cancer diagnosis.
Through the surveys, we aim to gather insights into the experiences and needs of our community.

Please take a few minutes to fill in the surveys and describe how we can further support you and the bladder cancer community.

Volunteer Role: Caregiver Support Group Facilitator and One to One Peer Support

Fun Fact: Play some Disco and watch me dance. Disco music is like a shot of adrenaline.

Why are you passionate about volunteering for BCC:
When my husband was diagnosed with bladder cancer, I spent most of
my time on the internet trying to find out as much information as I could. Endless information, often confusing and conflicting. I stumbled across the Bladder Cancer Canada website and ended up joining the Hamilton Support Group. The support group provided me with much needed information and support. Becoming a facilitator is my way of giving back. My hope is to support caregivers through their journey, answering any questions that I can and being available for one to one support calls.
