Good news on CDC guidelines for gatherings- indoor and out- for fully vaccinated people
The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention loosened the agency’s social distancing recommendations on Tuesday (April 27), announcing that fully vaccinated people who wear masks can safely attend many indoor events such as worship services. Governor Cooper has also raised the indoor gathering limit to 100 people.

Our monthly Contemplative Service is a time of reflection and meditation in this sacred space with music and meditative readings.

The light was beautiful at last Sunday's service. Our next one is June 4 at 5:00.
Diaper and Wipes Collection for Allie and Cole
Liz's grand twins have just passed the 5 pound milestone, and we pray they will be able to come home from the hospital in early June. To show our love and support, we'd like to give them a supply of diapers and wipes to start out. Please bring size preemie/newborn and size 1 diapers and sensitive skin wipes to church by May 16 with gift receipts in case they get too many of one size. Target and Amazon gift cards would also be great.
Food Collection for Wake Forest Community Meals
For our next volunteer night at Wake Forest Community Meals, we are collecting individual bags with a jar of peanut butter and jelly in each bag. We ask you to bring your jars already bagged for distribution. Any kind of clean bag is fine including the grocery store bag you bring it home in. We ask that you not get the very largest jars since we want them to be easy for children to handle. They distribute bread every week, so there will be sandwich bread to go home with the PB&J.
Anne Lamott Book Study
We invite you to bring a bag lunch if you would like to stay after and eat together.
We will discuss Chapter 4 on Tuesday.
Oodles of Noodles
We currently have plenty of noodles and will let you know when we are taking donations again. Thank you for so generously supporting this cause!
Julia and David are leading a discussion of dreams and allowing dreams to inspire our lives. Dreams are a great source of spiritual direction if we will honor and live with them.

We invite you to participate with us. We will discuss different formats of dream journaling, and you might want to start jotting down notes about your dreams prior to our first meeting. You will not be asked to share your dreams unless you so choose.

We are on week 3 of our discussions. You are welcome to join us at any time.

Join us in person or via Zoom.

Centering Prayer
Thursdays at 4:00
Fellowship Hall

Beginning May 20
Centering Prayer is a way to remember to re-orient our lives. Centering prayer consists of two components:
1) Studying the process of Centering, and discussion of our reading for the week.
2) Spending twenty minutes divesting ourselves of ourselves - our thoughts, feelings, and busyness. This whole process is a self-reminder in all of life to be centered in the awareness of the presence of the Holy.
