Fifty And Counting!

June 20 marks the 50th anniversary of David Griffin's ordination into ministry in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)! Fifty years in active ministry is a significant accomplishment, and Wake Forest Christian
Church is honored to be the church at which he celebrates this event.
Please join us for a special worship service that morning. The Griffins invite us to join them for lunch afterwards at The Forks.

From Ashley:
Good morning!! Yesterday, Chase and I picked up from Queenie‘s house what WFCC Church collected for our babies. WFCC family, Chase and I want to thank each and everyone of you for the generous donation of diapers and goodies for Allie and Cole. We are still spending most of our days in the hospital to try and get these babies home ASAP! Otherwise we would be there in person today to thank and hug you. We are so thankful for everything you guys have done for our family in the past with all the support and prayers and especially for Pastor David and everything that he has done- you are so special to our family. We cannot wait to bring Cole and Allie to church one day so that you all can witness the miracles that you have been praying for all this time!
We love you and appreciate all so much!
Chase, Ashley, Cole and Allie Crabtree.

Thank you for donating diapers and wipes for
Allie and Cole

Centering Prayer
Thursdays at 4:00
Fellowship Hall

Centering Prayer is a way to remember to re-orient our lives. Centering prayer consists of two components:
1) Studying the process of Centering, and discussion of our reading for the week.
2) Spending twenty minutes divesting ourselves of ourselves - our thoughts, feelings, and busyness. This whole process is a self-reminder in all of life to be centered in the awareness of the presence of the Holy.

If you have not read the book, you may still participate by listening to the discussion before we begin our time of centering prayer.

Wake Forest Christian Church is a member of the Disciples LGBTQ Alliance, setting a place at the table for persons of all gender expressions and sexual orientations.

Happy Pride Month!
from the Raleigh LGBT Center

We may not be able to celebrate in person this year, but do you know how you can still celebrate pride and support your local LGBTQ+ communities? By taking part in Give Out Day and donating to the LGBT Center of Raleigh throughout the month of June! This year we have partnered with Give Out Day to raise funds that will help us safely reopen our in-person programs throughout the rest of the year. By celebrating Pride and donating today, you will help ensure that our Pride lasts all year long and spreads to every corner of Wake County.
Green Chalice

The Green Chalice Team is made up of those who wish to live out their faith by caring for creation and also to help guide our church to being good stewards of God’s creation. Contact Loye Messina if you would like to be a part of the Green Chalice Team.
