Women Lead Launch

Our Women Lead program is official!

On Thursday the 27th, we gathered on our third floor to inaugurate our new community gathering space and officially launch Women Lead. It was a pleasure to be joined by community allies to celebrate the commencement of these exciting new ventures and to feel such vibrant energy bringing life to our new space.

Digital Literacy

We are immensely thankful to Saihaj and Sarah for getting a new Digital Literacy class up and running here at IWC. The room is always so lively and engaged when they're teaching! With gratitude to these two, our community members are able to better prepare themselves for learning English online, find more job opportunities, and become comfortable with resources available in the digital context.

Saihajpreet Kohli

Saihaj will primarily be working on our 3rd floor as a receptionist – greeting visitors and overseeing our new social café – as well as working alongside our team of Community Navigators. Check out his bio to learn a bit more about her. Welcome, Saihaj!

Sarah Cartmell

Sarah joined IWC as an ESOL teacher, and will be focusing on our new Digital Literacy program that we now offer our language learners. Check out her bio to learn a bit more about her. Welcome, Sarah!

Almas Shir

Almas joined IWC as an ESOL teacher, and will be teaching classes both on-site and in the community, as well as helping our Women Lead participants have the language to thrive in the program and beyond. Check out her bio to learn a bit more about her. Welcome, Almas!
