Our June title for discussion is Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders

In this original, transcendent and moving novel, George Saunders spins an unforgettable story of love and loss that breaks free of its realistic, historical framework into a thrilling, supernatural realm both hilarious and terrifying.

We’d like to wish a very Happy 100th Birthday to long-time Maplewood Librarian Mrs. Cecelia (Nardone) Fabrizio. Mrs. Fabrizio, known as Ceil, is a 1943 CHS graduate. She started her library career in 1955 as a secretary and worked her way up to librarian and head of periodicals, where she remained until her retirement 45 years later, in 2000!

She loved her job at Maplewood Library and frequently tells friends how lucky she was to have had that job and how much it meant to her.
