Happy June!
The school year has officially wrapped up, and summer is finally here! I hope you’re enjoying a well-deserved break, taking some time to relax, recharge, and celebrate all that you’ve accomplished this year. Thank you for all the energy and heart you’ve poured into your school communities this past year—we truly appreciate you.
Even as we head into summer, there are a few important things to keep on your radar:
Local Elections & Officer Updates:
Many local units and county councils are in the middle of elections. There’s a new and easier way to submit officer updates—no more New & Returning Officers Form! From now on, all updates will be done through Givebacks. You can find easy-to-follow instructions here.
Leadership Convention –
We’re getting excited for this year’s Leadership Convention, happening July 10–13 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. Leadership Convention is a fun and inspiring few days to connect with PTA leaders from across Florida, share ideas, and prepare for the year ahead. The last day to make a reservation with the Omni is June 16th. Register for Leadership Convention here!
As always, thank you for everything you do to support our mission and make a difference in the lives of children and families. We’re so grateful to have you as part of this work and look forward to what’s ahead.
Wishing you a sunny and restful summer,
Maxine Ann-Marie Lewers

| | How do you define male engagement |
Many believe there should be more male engagement in the education process of our students. Taking that into account it would be important for us to begin with inspecting what exactly we are expecting. Before we can say we are addressing male engagement as a need we must first know what is lacking or doing well in that regard.
The Male Engagement Committee would like to hear from our members what they feel the definition of male engagement is. From this we would like to help develop programs and suggest best practices for male engagement programs.
In short, we would like to hear from our members so we can make sure the needs are met. Send an email with your definition of Male Engagement to male.engagement@floridapta.org, with the subject line My Male Engagement Definition.
