As the impact of  COVID-19   continues to unfold, you can count on First Commerce to provide you with uninterrupted, safe service.  
 
To help relieve financial hardships for both our consumer and business members caused by efforts to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus, we are offering the following new relief programs in addition to waiving ATM, early CD withdrawal and call center service fees .
A utomatic One-Month Loan Deferral for Consumer and Business Loans
Payments on First Commerce loans, both personal and business,  including credit cards, with a due date between March 20 and April 19, 2020,  will automatically be deferred for 30 days ( excludes first mortgages) . This offer applies to all members who have First Commerce loans as of March 19, 2020.*
  • Effect on Loan Due Date. The due date for your loan will automatically be pushed to the following month. This includes loans that are paid monthly, weekly, biweekly and semi-monthly. For example, if you have a loan with an upcoming due date on March 25, we will automatically push the due date to April 25. Members with credit cards who pay their balance in full each month should contact us about options. As always you have the choice to make your regular payment or additional payments on your loan at any time.

  • Payment Drafted from a First Commerce Account. If First Commerce set up your automatic transfer, there’s nothing you need to do. If you set up a recurring loan payment in digital banking on your own, you will need to go into the Digital Activity Center to modify your transfer to start with the next due date.

  • Payment Drafted from Another Financial Institution. If your loan payment is automatically drafted from an account other than First Commerce you have options. Depending on how your payment from your other Financial institution was set up, your payment may still come here but should be available in your savings or checking account instead of being applied to your loan. 
  • Contact your other financial institution to request pausing your payment for one month. For security reasons, First Commerce is not able to request this for you.

Pandemic Relief Loan
First Commerce is offering current First Commerce members a Relief Loan up to $2,500 at a fixed APR of 5% for up to 48 months.* The loan is designed to help members who have experienced financial hardships, such as income disruption or unexpected expenses related to coronavirus impact.
  •  Complete Your Relief Loan Application Online or By Phone. In observance of the Centers for Disease Control guidelines on social distancing, members MUST apply online or by phone.
  • If you apply online, visit the Signature Loans page on our web site. To receive this special offer, please note “Pandemic Relief” in the comment section of the application before submitting. Once complete, you can even sign the document through our DocuSign feature. We make it easy, convenient and safe to get the assistance you need. 
  • If you apply by phone, please call our Contact Center at 850.488.0035 or 1.800.533.5772, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. ET, and Saturdays 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. ET.

Automatic Loan Deferral Your loan maturity will be extended and regular payments will resume after the deferred payment period. Finance charges will continue to accrue as outlined in your Loanliner Agreement, Retail Installment Sales Contract or Credit Card Agreement during the deferment period. Deferred payments may not be covered under GAP waiver agreements. For FCCU Credit Card members who typically pay their credit card balance in full each month, we will not apply this deferment automatically as that would cause interest to accrue. If you would like to take advantage of the deferment knowing you will have interest accrue, please contact us directly.   Regular deferment fees will be waived.

* Pandemic Relief Loan APR = Annual Percentage Rate. Loans may not exceed $2,500 and will be unsecured loans. Loan amounts less than or equal to $1,000 will have a term of 24 months. Loan amounts greater than $1,001 will have a term of 48 months. It will take 48 monthly payments of $57.59 for a loan amount of $2,500 and 24 monthly payments of $43.88  for a loan amount of $1,000. There are no prepayment penalties, however normal late fees will apply. T his loan will require an active FCCU checking account with direct deposit payroll. Members currently in bankruptcy or who have caused a prior loss to FCCU would not be eligible for this loan.
