Connecting & Staying Active

Wyoming Soccer Association (WSA) is striving to remain connected with all of you and connect with other state associations, lean on our national affiliations and explore resources and opportunities for you, our members.

We've compiled a list of resources - some of our own, and some of our partners that we've enjoyed using and thought you might, too.

Parents

If you missed our AGM in March, you missed hearing Skye Eddy Bruce, the founder of the Soccer Parent Association. She has some great resources for parents right now and best of all, they are free.

Check out some of her latest blogs:

Players

WSA has partnered with TopYa! to provide players an opportunity to improve their soccer skills at home and meet challenges through an interactive app.
Players from across the state of Wyoming are currently competing in our first ever online tournament - the Wyoming FIFA 20 Challenge for Xbox and PS4 players.

The players are having a blast and we have decided to continue the event! Another round of games will begin Monday, May 4, 2020. Be sure to read all the rules . Registration closes Friday.

The US Soccer Foundation has taken their Soccer for Success Initiative and created an "at home" version. They have created and collected resources from trusted sources to help you stay active, healthy in body and mind, and informed. They are continuing to add resources, so be sure to check back often.
Tommy Thompson is a former U-20 US National Team player and is currently a starter for the San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer.

He has created a list of short skill video clips where he demonstrates dribbling skills, juggling skills, cone work, ladder work, tricks, etc. All these skills can be done in the backyard, in the street, in the driveway, in the family room, etc.
Coaches

WSA Technical Director, David Hayes, will host free coaching webinars every Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Be on the lookout for social media posts and emails with specifics for each week's webinar.
