Your Calendar For Lent 2019 - "Made to Connect"

This Sunday - First Sunday Class For Lent
Connecting with God through Experiencing Scripture (Peter+), March 10, Board Room after both services
A four-part series on spiritual practices that can help us connect with God and with each other.
Scripture is incredibly rich and can be a great source of spiritual nourishment not only through "studying" the Bible but also through "experiencing" God through Scripture. In our time together, we will explore a few ways of reading Scripture "devotionally," through “ Lectio Divina " as well as other ways of engaging Scripture as a way to connect with God.
Lenten Supper Series Begins Wednesday, Mar 13
"God And Science Agree - We Are Meant To Be Together"
Supper ($8 pp/$20 per family) 6:00 p.m. Program 7-8:15 p.m.
For this first session, we will explore ways to understand relationships and connection from psychological, sociological, theological, historical, and scientific perspectives. We will explore how thinking and feeling contributes to how we seek out “abundant life” as followers of Jesus.
The Bishop is Coming! The Bishop is Coming!

T hank You!
Thank you for helping our St. Francis Outreach Scholarship Committee make this year's Designs for Dining become a reality. Thanks for help that was offered, donations made, table designs set up, workers who volunteered before during and after. We couldn't have done it without you.
Other News, and Coming Up!
Dawn Unity Choir Festival
Here at St Francis, Tuesday, March 12 at 7:30 pm.
The choirs from St Francis, St John Fisher, and Congregation Ner Tamid will combine to present a program of our varied musical traditions. In addition each group will separately share some of its own worship music. The program will end by 9:00 and there will be a cookie reception afterwards in the Parish Hall. Free admission.
It would be helpful if those who can (know their way around and are ambulatory) park in the farthest spaces of the lower lot in order to allow our guests to utilize the closer parking spots.
Disaster Preparedness - Please Donate Supplies!
St Francis has updated our plans. We now have an evacuation route and map showing emergency shut-off valves and water reserves on campus. We have also coordinated our plan with Town & Country Preschool. In addition, we have created a cabinet in the board room and are asking that our parish family help us fill it with the supplies.
Donating is simple.  Click here to sign up for the item(s) you would like to contribute. Bring your donations to the office or church. Label it c/o Sue Ferme or Jennifer Egan-Spalding . You may also donate money so that we can purchase supplies on your behalf. Thank you!!!
